The Mississippi University for Women (and Men, actually) is trying to abolish its women’s athletics programs due to budget cuts and tornado damage. “MUW President Claudia Limbert is asking state College Board approval on Thursday to take steps to eliminate the school’s four teams beginning July 1, 2003,” the Clarion-Ledger reported today.
