Up in Oxford, Tom Freeland is taking on the morons who are passing along the myth that Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor wrote her Princeton thesis about gun control. Tom writes:

The thesis turns out not to exist. Her thesis at Princeton was about the Puerto Rican politician Luis Munoz Marin, not gun rights or gun control, and the internet site that is the source of this claim just made it up.

How many idiots are really out there? Geesh.

Thank you, Mr. Freeland! Ms. Sotomayor has been so unfairly targeted by reich-wingers. It’s refreshing to see someone stand up for her.

I am member of and post on about 10 gun forums a day and this is the first I have heard about her writing a thesis on gun control. The only thing that has been brought up about her is that she was on a panel that said the 2nd admendment did not apply to states. Which is very wrong in my opinion. It’s not usually the normal gun owners that freak out, it’s the wack-jobs. I don’t think we have to worry much about any new gun control laws, I read an article in Newsweek, (if I remember correctly about a month ago, was at Dr office, had chemo, brain scrabble..LOL) , talking about Obama and gun control. It basically said Obama sent word to Hillary and Holder to shut up about gun control and assault weapons ban because all the Democratic Senators and Reps. were complaining that if they pushed this, they would not get re-elected, and Obama needs them more to pass health care and economic legislation and more important stuff than adding another gun law to the 1000’s useless ones we already have now firearms.
