- Need more community activities
- People get burned out w/o participation from voters.
- Different cultures do not speak about religion and politics. Need to have hard conversations.
- Be engaged in a political party.
- Extended voting hours/early voting.
- Open primaries
- Ranked choice voting
- Should be able to go into any precinct and vote.
- Voter rolls being purged.

- Which seat is the most powerful? Justice Court have to be 18 with High School diploma.
- Everyone should run at least once for office.
- Many people do not know who their current incumbent is
- Lack of local media coverage about upcoming elections
- Lack of education about local issues
- Local media behind paywalls (Sun Herald)
- Lack of information. Corporate consolidation of media
- Lack of access to media (People with fixed incomes can’t afford paywalls)
- Going to Facebook & TikTok to get
- Centrists feel they have no voice the conservative state
- Is there a place for moderates in MS? Yes
- Stranglehold on elections
- Local news rooms being hollowed out.
- Not reporting local news/no local journalist
- Has to be a solution for local community journalism
- Voter suppression is a problem.
- No early voting
- Strict ID laws
- Low voter turnout
- How to combat that?
