Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood, Mississippi, filed for bankruptcy in its latest attempt to stave off closure. The hospital, which says it is insolvent and unable to pay its debts, including $4.8 million in overpayments that the Mississippi Department of Medicaid is seeking to claw back, has warned employees it could close permanently on June 15.
