Slate’s Allen Barra says, “Rush Limbaugh Was Right: Donovan McNabb isn’t a great quarterback, and the media do overrate him because he is black.”
The New York Times’ Richard Sandomir says Limbaugh may never get a sports job again, but he can return to his millions of radio listeners … He is luckier than others in the sports business who have made racially insensitive or misogynistic comments, and lost their careers.”
The New York Daily News’ Bob Raissman says that if Limbaugh had stayed, Tom Jackson, a 16-year ESPN veteran and the most popular member of the “NFL Countdown” cast was going to quit.
