JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Jackson police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and other wounded.

WLBT reports police were sent to Belvedere South Apartments Sunday evening for a shots fired call. There they found an unidentified man dead of a gunshot wound.

Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart says the victim was shot in the head and arm.

Police were also notified of a gunshot victim taken to a local hospital.

The shooting happened inside a crowded courtyard at the apartment complex.

Police say they have no suspects or motive.
