Jackson Is Catching Up On Paying Overdue Bills, Mayor Says

Mississippi’s capital city is working to pay its overdue bills. Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba said Monday that $9 million has been paid since January, and number of outstanding invoices has dropped 470 to 180. The amount due decreased from more than $9.7 million to $703,000.
