Dr. Frances Lucas, President of Millsaps College over the last 9 years, will be retiring effective June 30, 2010.
As a graduate of Millsaps, I fondly remember my times there and attribute much of my academic, professional, and social development to its professors and administrators. Millsaps is the pre-eminent college in Mississippi and one of the best in the Southeast and will need a President who seeks to further its mission of educating committed and compassionate leaders.
Millsaps has a strong history of being on the forefront of many social issues and I hope it continues to be a beacon of light for our state!
