Marketing / PR Coordinator
Erica Powe is the Marketing and PR Coordinator for the Mississippi Free Press, where she leads marketing and communications efforts that strengthen community engagement, grow donor support and elevate the newsroom’s impact across Mississippi. She develops fundraising campaigns, public relations initiatives, social media strategy, email marketing and storytelling that connect readers and supporters to the organization’s mission.
Erica brings more than 15 years of experience in marketing, communications, event planning and community engagement across the nonprofit and private sectors. She earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management from Belhaven University and also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Belhaven.
A Mississippi native, Erica is passionate about using strategic communication to build trust, strengthen communities and connect people with journalism that informs, empowers and creates lasting impact.
