The Jackson Free Press is a great place to work for so many reasons. One especially fun reason came last Wednesday before we shut down for the holidays when we had an impromptu JFP cocktail hour as we opened presents. The two main ingredients we played around with were SKYY Infusions—citrus-infused vodka and X-RATED Fusion Liqueur—vodka infused with blood oranges, mango and passion fruit. Both the spirits had arrived in the mail as samples from SKYY, but with no guarantee that we would write about them, or even like them.

Below are a few of the staff’s personal concoctions:

1 part SKYY Citrus
2 parts cranberry juice

Blood Ocean
1 part X-RATED
1 part mango peach juice

1 part lemon-lime soda
Splash of lemonade and grenadine

Lacey McLaughlin, assistant editor and Florida native

Done-for-toDay Punch

ShaWanda Jacome, assistant to the editor-in-chief
