WIGGINS, Miss. (AP) — A 20-year-old Moss Point man has surrendered to authorities to face charges in a federal drug-trafficking indictment.
Marquis Carl “Ke Ke” Richmond turned himself in about 1 a.m. Wednesday at the Stone County Jail, a regional correctional facility that houses most defendants held on federal charges in South Mississippi.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/MjXsYR ) Richmond was the last suspect wanted by the FBI, which worked with numerous agencies in an 18-month undercover operation of drug-dealing and gang activity by members and associates of the Black Gangsta Disciples street gang. He is among 25 people accused of crimes associated with crack and powdered cocaine.
FBI spokeswoman Deborah Madden says Richmond was sought after a massive roundup last week and face charges that include conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute.
