Racial and ethnic minority communities that lack internet access have been left behind in the race to get a COVID-19 vaccine. The average monthly cost of internet access, about US$70, can be out of reach for those who can barely afford groceries.

Tamra Burns Loeb is an interim adjunct associate professor at UCLA Center for Culture, Trauma, and Mental Health Disparities. AJ Adkins-Jackson is a research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and a community-based multidisciplinary researcher dedicated to helping others enjoy the lives they intend to lead. Arleen F. Brown is a professor of medicine at the University of California. Her current projects focus on disparities reduction for patients with HIV/AIDS, multi-ethnic patients with hypertension, and Californians at risk for COVID-19.
