Rykia Bernard, native of Brookhaven, Miss., attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College from 2012-2014, where she was a member of the college’s newspaper, “Wolf Tales.” After graduating from the community college and obtaining an associates degree, Bernard transferred to the University of Mississippi, where she did freelance creative writing for the Panolian and The Neshoba County Democrat for two years. Shortly after graduating, Bernard moved to Texas and became a staff reporter for the Facts Newspaper in Clute, TX. She now works as a freelance creative writer.
