Maurice Valonte Williams is a Mississippi native, an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a current Juris Doctorate candidate at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. In May 2026, he will commission as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps, beginning his service at Officer Candidates School in Quantico. A dedicated advocate for the state’s coastal, metro, and rural communities, Maurice is committed to leveraging his military and legal leadership to address Mississippi’s long-term infrastructure challenges. Upon completion of his service, he intends to return home to Mississippi to contribute to the state’s future.
