Katherine Gregory is the immediate past-chair of the Society of American Archivists Congressional Papers Section, a former president of the Society of Mississippi Archivists, and the program committee chair of the Association of Centers for the Study of Congress. She has worked in congressional archives for 11 years. Under her direction, the Mississippi Political Collections received a National Endowment for the Humanities Preservation Assistance grant in 2024.
