If you own or manage a small business, chances are you’re dreading this week’s end-of-January tax filings. FileTaxes.com offers an online service that can make things a little easier; for about $5 per employee or contractor, you can input the basics from your accounting software and instantly generate all of the forms and filings to get them mailed by the appropriate deadlines. Plus, the forms are clean and professional looking when they arrive at your employee’s home, and you can generate PDF versions on request for folks who want their refunds quickly.
You can also use FileTaxes.com to file a 940 at the end of January and Form 941 throughout the year, although e-filing of those can take a few weeks to set up. FileTaxes.com is not a terribly attractive Web interface, but it gets the job done, and they do offer a free iPhone app for tracking forms status and adding forms from your phone.
