Curtis Flowers, who spent nearly 23 years in prison for murders he said he did not commit, was found dead Oct. 7 at the age of 56. Flowers’ conviction was overturned after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled prosecutors improperly removed Black jurors, denying Flowers a fair trial.
