Dr. Kent Wyatt, formerly the fifth president of Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss., passed away on Aug. 25, 2026, at age 92. Following retirement, he had served as president emeritus since 1999, offering wisdom and advice to other DSU presidents and faculty that followed after him.
