Sherri Marengo, chair of the community theater division of the Mississippi Theatre Association, founded the Legacy Actors Theatre Experience, also known as L.A.T.E., in Hattiesburg, Miss., in 2019. The troupe allows senior adults to perform while reading scripts, removing the need to memorize lines.
