“I just want to start out by thanking the people of Mississippi from the bottom of my heart, whether you voted for me or not, thank you for using your power to exercise your vote yesterday. I’m very proud of our state. I’ve got to tell everybody I am very happy with where we stand. I’m confident once the process lays out where we are, where the ballots are, we’re going to win,” Democrat Scott Colom said this morning.
He vowed “to protect the process.”
“We’ve got lawyers who are ready to make sure the law is followed. We got volunteers in each county to make sure that that process is followed and we’re going to make sure that the process follows the law and has integrity,” he said. “Now, I think that anybody who can look at the math can see where this is going. It’s going to Scott Colom as the next United States senator.”
