Marketing / PR Coordinator
Erica Powe is the Marketing / PR Coordinator at the Mississippi Free Press, where she brings over 16 years of experience in marketing and operations for major nonprofits and large corporations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Belhaven University and is currently pursuing her MBA with a concentration in Project Management. A detail-oriented problem solver and passionate communicator, Erica thrives in roles that allow her to blend structure, creativity, and service.
An entrepreneur for the past nine years, she thrives on helping others bring their ideas to life. Whether through her own business ventures or in support of community initiatives, she is passionate about making meaningful impact behind the scenes.
Erica is married to Jermaine, and together they share a blended family of three amazing children—Kobe, Kaleb, and Morgan—as well as their beloved dog, Chase.
She is also the founder of Nutty Buddies, a volunteer group of spirited (friends) buddies who are “nutty” enough to believe they can make a difference in the world. Through service projects and acts of kindness, Nutty Buddies gives back to the communities where they live, work, and play.
