Alexis Karteron, Jeannine Bell, Rashad Shabazz and Ric Simmons
Alexis Karteron is an associate professor of Law at Rutgers University in Newark. She is also the Director of the Rutgers Constitutional Rights Clinic. Prior to joining Rutgers in September 2016, Professor Karteron was a senior attorney at the New York Civil Liberties Union. Jeannine Bell is a Professor at the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University. Bell’s research is broadly interdisciplinary, touching on both political science and law, and relying on her empirical expertise. Rashad Shabazz is an associate professor at the School of Social Transformation at Arizona State University. His academic expertise brings together human geography, Black cultural studies, gender studies, and critical prison studies.Professor Ric Simmons joined the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law faculty in 2003. He is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where he was a Stone Scholar and a senior editor of the Columbia Law Review.
