Visit Jackson has organized a week-long series of themed events named JXN Restaurant Week to highlight Jackson’s culinary Landscape.Â
Members of the inaugural Change Collective met in Detroit in early June 2023. They received initial training in matters relating to fundraising, building private partnerships and talking to the media.
Jasmine Williams is a creative producer, which encompasses not only writing, film and storytelling, but also captures the experiences of southern Black folks.
A year later, the pandemic is still here, and the Oxford Film Festival is back stronger, this year rolling out as a hybrid affair that takes advantage of every screen opportunity available, physical and virtual. With the pre-warning and plenty of prep time, “we came into it with a game plan knowing all the areas we need,” Addington says. And they built a festival that kept every comfort level in mind.Â
