The Mississippi Democratic Party must allow Bob Hickingbottom to challenge Brandon Presley for the party’s nomination for governor in the August primaries, a state judge ruled on May 26.
In an interview with the Mississippi Free Press on Tuesday, Bob Hickingbottom accused Democratic leaders of wanting “to make sure that Brandon Presley doesn’t have any competition, particularly from Black candidates.”
