Dianne Dodson Black, the first Black woman to ever run for Congress in Mississippi’s 1st Congressional District, secured the Democratic nomination on Tuesday night in a victory against opponent Hunter Avery, the Associated Press reported.
Republicans and Democrats across Mississippi will select congressional candidates in tomorrow’s party primaries. This year, both parties have candidates running in all four congressional districts.
Voters can use the following table to examine polling place locations for the June 7, 2022 congressional party primaries. The Mississippi Free Press compiled the list using data obtained from the Mississippi Secretary of State’s office and by contacting local election officials in all 82 counties.
