The Mississippi Legislature wrapped up the 2026 legislative session this week. Annual verification of voters’ U.S. citizenship, a ban on mail-in abortion drugs, altering the mail-in ballot schedule and authorizing Mississippi agencies and public offices to comply with U.S. immigration enforcement by federal officers are among some of the bills that are set to become law from this session.
