Managing Partner of Eastwood Capital Partners, LLC

James Collins, a native of Moss Point, Mississippi, who now lives with his family in New York City, is the Managing Partner of Eastwood Capital Partners, LLC, a private equity firm. He started his career as an Associate Consultant with Bain & Company and then worked as an Analyst with Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co.
Collins worked as a private equity investor for 26 years, including experience with Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co. and Roark Capital Group. He worked on deal teams that invested $0.5 billion of equity capital (aggregate transaction value of $1.8 billion) in platform investments primarily in consumer products and retail and business services companies. He has worked as a member of the Board of Directors with the executive management teams of each of those companies to plan and execute corporate, operational, financing, and acquisition and divestiture strategies.
The newest member of the Mississippi Free Press’ board’s executive committee, and the treasurer, also volunteers with the Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. He is on its Board of Directors and chairs its Finance Committee while also serving as a member of Points of Light’s Executive Committee, Audit Committee and Human Resources.
Collins is a graduate of Moss Point High School, Howard University and Harvard Business School.
