George B. Cunningham is a Professor of Sport Management and the Sr. Assistant Provost for Graduate and Professional Studies. He is a Faculty Affiliate of the Women's and Gender Studies Program, and Director, Laboratory for Diversity in Sport at Texas A&M University. Author of over 200 articles and book chapters, Cunningham conducts research in the area of diversity and inclusion in sport and physical activity. He is past president of the North American Society for Sport Management and a Fellow of the National Academy of Kinesiology.
Dr. Lisa T. Wigfall, PhD, MCHES® has a PhD in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior and a certificate of graduate study in Health Communication from the University of South Carolina. She also has an MA in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University. Her areas of research expertise include cancer-related health behaviors and disparities research, implementation science, and health communication. Her research experience also includes secondary data analysis of public use databases such as the National Cancer Institute Health Information National Trends Survey, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System survey. She has served as the PD/PI of two NCI-funded research projects and has over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Health Communication. Currently, Dr. Wigfall serves as a member of the executive board for the American Academy of Health Behavior, and co-chairs the Society of Behavioral Medicine Women's Health Special Interest Group.
