Danyelle Holmes is a senior national social justice organizer with Repairers of the Breach and the Poor People’s Campaign. With a deep history in grassroots activism and community organizing, she has dedicated her life to advocating for the rights of the poor and marginalized. Holmes has led efforts with the Mississippi Rapid Response Coalition to ensure access to clean and safe drinking water for Mississippi residents. In November 2022, U.S. Congressman Bennie Thompson entered the Mississippi Rapid Response Coalition in the U.S. Congressional Record for its service to Mississippians during their time of distress. She has also fought against the takeover of essential infrastructure, advocated for fully funding public education, and campaigned for the removal of the Confederate State Flag. In addition to her work on these critical issues, Holmes is deeply committed to prison reform, advocating for living wages, and fighting for immigrant and labor rights. Her vision for Mississippi is one of collective progress, where all residents can thrive and move forward together.
